What is a Micro-Needling and how does the procedure work?
Microneedling is performed with a handheld micro-roller which uses surgical-grade micro-needles to puncture the skin to cause a gentle injury. By causing this controlled injury to the skin, reaching beyond the epidermis into the dermis. The procedure triggers the body’s spontaneous healing response and causes a cascade of healing processes to kick into high gear.
Immediately afterwards, an intensive hydration mask is applied to infuse the skin with hyaluronic acid and high-end peptides. The epidermis becomes thicker and more supple, each time a treatment is performed, which results in visibly younger looking skin.
Who is a good candidate for a Microneedling?
Individuals with fine lines and wrinkles as it can soften the skin to reduce the appearance of developing lines. Individuals with acne scars because it encourages the production of new, healthy skin cells that will create a smoother, more even appearance on the surface. People with enlarged, uneven skin tone, or rough and sun-damaged skin will benefit from micro-needling as it can reduce the size of the pores while allowing optimal absorption of skincare products that can further improve the appearance and texture of the skin.
How soon after the treatment will I see results and can I return to my regular activities?
Immediately afterwards, an intensive hydration mask is applied to infuse the skin with hyaluronic acid and high-end peptides. We recommend that you do not put anything on your face for the next 24 hours. We ask that you try to avoid sun exposure for at least 3 days, and should avoid exercise or strenuous activity for at least 24 hours.
